Translation

Asked by samson

I was translating Amharic ubuntu 8.04 Hardy package Template "xulrunner-1.9" a few week ago the server was down for maintenance , when it started you have changed many of the old files. eg. from what I've seen, it looks like improved files. my problem with the new file it is not clear. eg from Template "basic-commands" in Ubuntu Hardy package "ubuntu-docs"
1- ls ------ what does these stands for
2-cp-------
3-rm-------
when I try to see their meaning in Dictionary it will give me many different meaning. Is there any chance to get the old file?

                                            Thanks
                                            Samson

Hi samson,

You seem to be asking several questions:

* Regarding the question about 'xulrunner-1.9' - what is the actual problem? What are you trying to achieve?

* Regarding the question about 'ubuntu-docs' - those strings represent shell commands. You will find more information about them by opening a terminal and typing 'man ls' or 'man cp' or 'man rm' on the command line.

I would additionally suggest you to subscribe to the Amharic translators mailing list, where other fellow translators might be able to help you.

Regards,
David.
