how-to ldap proxy backed by AD

Asked by Tom Linfield

Hello, I'm sure this has been answered somewhere before but I'm not finding a good how-to doc. We have VMs (both Windows/Linux) sitting in a DMZ that I'd like to set up an ldap proxy that is backended by an Active Directory sitting on our private network. We're running 20.04 currently. From what I've read in several docs that slapd can help us out possibly with forwarding the auth request back to AD. Any help with a supporting doc is much appreciated and I apologize ahead of time for the duplicate...

Thanks!

Thank you Bernard, will SSH/RDP sessions be forwarded via the proxy automatically by following these docs? From the ldap client perspective...
