Asked by Geoffrey Gavin John Payne

I have installed Multi Pass.
My OS is Windows 10.
I my toolbar tray I right click on the icon and select Open SSH
A powershell screen pops up, runs some commands and then disappears.

I do not have a SSH prompt as expected. How do I fix this?

I was following the tutorial in the first place. The tutorial did not cover this point which is why I raise it here.

First click on the multipass icon to launch the application look for a check mark at the bottom of the application page and click it, then on “Open Shell” by right clicking the multpass icon.
The icon will change locations on the screen.

I do not get an application page. I do get a notification telling me to right click on the icon in the taskbar. But then we are back to the point in the original question. when I right click on that icon, I get a Powershell screen that runs a few commands and then disappears.
However from all the other things I have been trying I am wondering if this is to do with port 22 being blocked by the firewall? I have tried various things but have not been able to unblock it.

https://multipass.run/docs/installing-on-windows#heading--check-prerequisites
Hyper-V installation is only on Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise.
Or install it in Virtual Box.
