gnome-do docky not working

I had installed gnome do in 9.04. but it is not working. while running from terminal it is showing following massage.

[Error 21:05:34.971] [SystemService] Failed to write initial autostart file: Error opening file '/home/mauli/.config/autostart/gnome-do.desktop': No such file or directory
[Error 21:06:04.469] [SystemService] Failed to update autostart file: Error opening file '/usr/share/applications/gnome-do.desktop': Permission denied

One of the comments on that bug suggests creating a new directory as a workaround:

  mkdir .config/autostart
