Nvidia hang on wake from suspend

Asked by Cyber

I've got a nvidia NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 using the 525 proprietary driver and using xorg (default xorg conf - deleting the nvidia one and it fixed all problems with starting X). Latest Ubuntu 22.10. CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900X × 24

When I wake from suspend i have no graphics whatsoever anymore. I can't switch to a text terminal or anything. I can SSH in after waking but can't do anything else. No signal to monitor. Freezes if I try to reboot. Have to hard power down once or twice before it'll boot again.

Here is the output of journalctl -xf while suspending and unsuspending: https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/Hv4Ks3ZRbV/

I suggest trying 'Hibernate' instead of Suspend.
The difference being:
Suspend stops operation of all applications and system state is saved in RAM.
Hibernate Moves the contents of memory into swap,
which causes the kernel to reload the contents of memory from swap.

Can you help with this problem?
