Problem while booting after Updating BIOS in dual boot (Windows and Linux)

Asked by Nazmus Sakib Sibly

I'm currently using Windows and Linux in dual boot. Recently in Windows an update of BIOS came and I simply just updated it. But after the update is finished now it isn’t showing the usual Boot loader menu from which I used to boot at start. It is now showing GNU GRUB version 2.06. And says the following message :

''''''''''''''''''
GNU GRUB version 2.06

Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible devices or file completions.

grub>_

'''''''''''''''''
Note : I am using Lenovo ideapad slim 5i and used the Lenovo Vantage to update the BIOS while using windows

I would use Super Grub Disk ( www.supergrubdisk.org ), download Ventoy ( www.ventoy.net/en/download.html ) in any computer, then format a pendrive with Ventoy (BE CAREFUL, since you loose all the files on the pendrive), then copy Super Grub Disk ISO into Ventoy partition. You can then use this pendrive to boot from it, start Super Grub Disk and try to boot.
