Shared folder path '“”' is not absolute

Asked by Chuck

I am learning to use my ubuntu 9.04 host and Win xp guest using Virtual box on an IBM T23 w/1gig memory. A problem I haven't been able to solve is adding a share of usb external hard drive on a desktop. In VirtualBox, I try to add the share but keep getting the error listed : Shared folder path '“/home/chuck/smb://dell380/n/My_Music”' is not absolute. (Everything else is working fine.I have shares on the host.)

How do I establish an "absolute path?? for this networked drive?

I have searched, but have not found help I can follow. Can you answer or direct me to get this drive to share?

Thank You

Thanks for your help. It did help some, but I in the meantime I changed some things and so forth (I don't have a clue what I did) and got the sharing I needed. So let's close this out as a success. I do thank you all for your help.
