Feedback on the Dell Technologies PowerEdge R750 (202105-29056)

Asked by mo-matic

Trying to build a poweredge r750 and come against an issue where unless the nics are disabled the OS won't install just crashes out at the user information.

The installation being used is server 22.04 LTS.

As installing in mimized mode, there is no text editor installed to edit the yaml file so was trying to use netplan command to update the yaml file.

If i try to configure the disabled bond with an Ip address after the OS is installed then get the message that the one of the interfaces in the bond is not defined.

The poweredge r750 is the certified spec on the ubuntu website.

Have built a few of these in last couple of weeks without any issues.

Have downloaded the iso twice as thought might be corrupt.

The install iso is being done through the idrac.

Cheers

Do you have the latest firmware?

Instead of simply redownloading the ISO.... Why not check the file tests as OK. Statistically, you could download an infinite number of files and never get a good one. Using torrents or actual testing the ISO you downloaded will give the the assurance that the data you downloaded is complete and consistent
