how can I create Desktop Shortcut to a Game in My Users Home Folder

Asked by john gordon

I am Using WindowsFX and I want to Create a Desktop Shortcut to a Game in My Users Home Folder.
This is a Windows Based Game and must be run with Wine.
When I click on the Games EXE File it Loads up in Wine and runs OK.
So now I just want a desktop Shortcut to that Game that will Load up Wine and Execute.

If you get the full path to the binary. Something like

Then you can make a launcher for that but the actual binary is the one shown when you run:

which wine

You can now craft a launcher around that, or make a script to run the command, test that (run it from the terminal). You can then make a launcher to simply run your script. The install directory will probably have an icon file flapping around that you can use or just grab one from the Web and put it in the folder with the application you are running to keep things cleaner
