Night light not working on xorg with Nvidia and Intel

Asked by Mustapha Benziane

Hello,

Night is not working on Ubuntu 22.04 on xorg (ofc, it is not working on wayland as well), I tried switching to the Intel integrated graphics, that didn't resolve the issue.

The machine is a Dell Precision 3571, It was shipped with 20.04, upgraded to 22.04 before it was given to me by IT. The issue was there since day 1.

I wanted to make sure this is not a mistake on my part, or an issue that can be fixed on my end before reporting a bug.

Nvidia: Driver Version: 515.65.01 CUDA Version: 11.7
Ubuntu: 22.04.1 LTS
Kernel: 5.14.0-1051-oem
Gnome-shell: 42.4-0ubuntu0.22.04.1

The jounralctl output is a bit cumbersome so here's the output of "journalctl -b -1 | grep night":
sept. 30 08:07:54 ist-156-108 gnome-shell[4976]: g_settings_get_enum() called on key 'control-nightlight' which is not associated with an enumerated type

sept. 30 08:19:06 ist-156-108 gnome-shell[47337]: g_settings_get_enum() called on key 'control-nightlight' which is not associated with an enumerated type

I can provide more details if need be. Have a wonderful day.
