totem

Totem program will not run at all. Tried to contact bugzilla and did not get any help.
The problem is that totem will start and then you get an error box that states: Internal GStreamer Error: negotiation problem. Running Dapper Drake 6.04.

If you run totem from the terminal, is that all output you get?

yes, if I run totem in any way you get the error message!

I'm running Totem 1.4.0 Movie Player using GStreamer 0.14.4

Are your packages up to date?

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

yes, it says that everything is updated. Could you direct me to the how-to's for adding the correct plugins for totem. I now get a error message that plugins are missing. This could be the problem.
