When will php 8 be available via Ubuntu?

Is Ubuntu working on a php 8.x (8.0.x or 8.1.x) package? the current is 7.4 (at least for my Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS) which reaches End of Life this year.

php8.1 is available for Ubuntu jammy (22.04).
For Ubuntu focal there are PPAs available
e.g. https://launchpad.net/~bryce/+archive/ubuntu/modphp-upgrade-lp1890263-fixed-backports
