virtual machine manager /home directory storage

By default virtual machine manager (QEMU/KVM) stores its XML profiles in /etc/libvirt/qemu
Also by default, VMM stores its virtual machines in /var/lib/
The owner of all these files is the root user.
Is there a way to install VMs and their profiles into the /home directory with owner being the local user who is creating these VMs?
