Virtual boxs freezes when installing Microsoft Windows 10.

Asked by Larry Rodgers

I installed Boxes from the Ubuntu software icon on my Gazelle Notebook computer. I tried to install Windows 10 using the USB that I purchased from Microsoft, but it freezes. My Gazelle Notebook computer was produced by System 76 and it operates on Ubuntu 22.04. It is Gazelle Model 16-3060. Thank you for your time.

What is freezing: Only the Windows virtual system, or the virtualbox processes or the whole Ubuntu system?

How much memory does the computer have, how much memory did you allocate for the Windows system?

Is it the VM freezing or the Ubuntu host? Have you checked the VM settings like video memory and so on?

Dear actionparsnip: I don't know. I will check them, although I will
check the settings.

Dear Manfred:
I will check. I am sure that Boxes had enough memory. I don't know
which system froze.
