gnome-calculator Clear Display Button No Longer Does a Backspace Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Asked by ExploreWiki

The gnome-calculator Clear Display button used to do a backspace first kind of like an undo button which was awesome.

Now it just Clears the Display and you have to type everything from the start all over again.

It feels like it has been downgraded. Is this intended, or should I submit this as a bug or feature request?

Description: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Correct - The clear button clears the display completely.
On a regular calculator:
If you press the AC button it clears the display.
If you press the C button it clears the last entry, select new entry.
Example: 5+5+6 ->C -> 5 = 15
Ubuntu went with the undo button [ctl+z] at the top of the calculator.
which removes the last entry.
The red button clears the display.
Works correctly on my Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
If you prefer there are different calculators in Ubuntu Software.
If you are missing the Undo button try uninstall it and re-installing.
There is a red logo to uninstall it.
