Help to find source packages for ubuntu-xenial kernels

Asked by ashish

Hi,

I am not able to locate ubuntu xenial source package for 4.4.0-219.252 and ubuntu-xenial-aws source package for 4.4.0-1135.149 kernel.

These kernels are mentioned in this CVE link - https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2021-34693

Thanks,
Ashish

Ubuntu xenial is now in ESM status, which is a support extension for which you have to register.
The updated packages for ESM are not publicly available any more (esm.ubuntu.com has only restricted access).

Why do you need access to the source packages?
If your system has been subscribed to ESM and if that has correctly been set up, then your system will automatically update the binary packages to the versions mentioned in the Ubuntu CVE pages (or most probably already even newer ones).

Is your system set up for ESM?
Which Ubuntu release and kernel version are you running?
What is the output of the commands

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
sudo ua status # (please redact any private registration codes)

Can you help with this problem?
