Error

Asked by guidemeintheeyesofblindness@yahoo.com

I get this crap in my toolbar at the top of the page after installing "playonlinux' -

"An error occurred, please run Package Manager from the right-click menu or apt-get in a terminal to see what is wrong. The error message was: 'Error Opening the cache {E:Type'<!DOCTYPE' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list,E:The list of sources could not be read.} 'This usually means that your installed packages have unmet dependencies"

WTF?

How do I uninstall playonlinux?

I cannot access synaptic package manager. If I try I get this-

E: Type '<!DOCTYPE' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

What the hell is going on?

If I try add/remove programs I get this-
This is a major failure of your software management system. Please check for broken packages with synaptic, check the file permissions and correctness of the file '/etc/apt/sources.list' and reload the software information with: 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get install -f'.

Any ideas?

Never mind I got it.

I just re-installed playonlinux and it installed the missing dependency.
