Thunderbird in Ubuntu 22.04LTS refuses to send message

Recently installed Ubintu 22.04 LTS. Having use Thunderbird for many years, this problem never happened:

Sending of the message failed.
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <email address hidden> sender rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

In the "outgoing Server (SMPT) Settings it is not possible to change the User name: <not specified>

I suggest you look at Thunderbird support.
They may be better fit to have that answer.
