Game 'Rigs of Rods' cursor problem

I installed Rigs of Rods from the Ubuntu Store, and whenever I click inside the window, the ingame cursor freezes, and the game becomes unresponsive. I had asked the game support, and they said it is a problem with the distribution.

According to the bug report the program will not be fixed.
There is no packaging available for program.
Debian no longer has packaging for the program either.
