LaCie 2big RAID 1 on Ubuntu

I have a LaCie 2big RAID drive. I would like to configure RAID1 to get redundant backups and format the drive as ext4.
LaCie offers tools, but only for MacOS and Windows.
Is there any documentation available for configuring a LaCie 2big RAID drive on Ubuntu?
