Upgrade from 21.10 to 22.04 LTS with Software Updater Not Working

Currently running Ubuntu 21.10. Wanted to upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS using Software Updater.

Date: 2022-04-28 Launch Software Updater.

Software Updater indicated:

The software on this computer is up to date.
However, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is now available (you have 21.10)..

Selected "Upgrade..."

After this Software Upgrader Icon disappeared from the "dock panel" and nothing happened. Did not start the process to upgrade to 22.04 LTS.

Tried three times same results.

You might try in a command line terminal with

sudo do-release-upgrade

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have file a bug report and saw other users are having issue upgrading from Ubuntu 21.10 to 22.04 LTS the last two days using "sudo do-release-upgrade" command line.

Will wait to see whether there is a response to my bug report.
