Nvidia machine defaulting to x11 not wayland?

Asked by Dustin Hanselmann

I am unsure if this is a bug, or maybe it is just wrong configuration. Based on news Proprietary Nvidia driver 510 should default to Wayland. I currently have a laptop with Intel integrated and NVIDIA 1060ti mobile and it continues to default to x11.

I am willing to submit a bug report if this ends up being on that line, however, I am curious if there is a quick way around this where it can again default to wayland.

Edit: this is Ubuntu 22.04
