Nautilus freezes during downloads from chromium based browsers.

I run Brave as my daily browser but I was able to replicate this issue on Chrome as well.

When downloading a file and prompted to choose download location in a separate window, the browser freezes entirely.

This does not occur in Ubuntu 21.10 with the same browsers so it must be a bug in nautilus of 22.04

Firefox doesn't allow downloads at all.

I am running Xorg, if that matters.

I was able to resolve this problem by using the command

sudo apt install xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
