win url in ubuntu

I have saved a lot of windows favorites links to websites. they appear as "title.url"
unfortunately my Firefox webbrowser in UBUNTU will not open and gives an error.
Er is voor dit bestandtype "internetkoppeling" geen toepassing geinstalleerd.
Searching for an application did not help
Is there a solution available?

Is this a single file with all bookmarks or are there separate files for each bookmark?

I suggest that you try the import feature http://mzl.la/1BAQuVo
Three dots in the top right corner -> Bookmarks -> Import ...
