i cant get my splash screen to work

i installed a usplash theme and went to start up manager click it, but whenever i restart my pc it does show up, can someone help me

at the Grub boot loader screen (or Grub's menu.lst) try appending vga=auto or vga=317

what is the screen size?
run this in a command prompt: xrandr
