Ubuntu 22.04 laptop hdmi problem gnome-panel

when i connect a hdmi clable and i enable the hdmi screen the mouse cursor is there ok working but the desktop is broken, the image makes no sense.

Maybe is because i'm using gnome-panel flashback?

What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C display; lsb_release -a; uname -a

Hi, could you enable the debug messages in gdm?
you can do it by uncommenting the line #Enable=true in the debug section in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf, then restart the service, and provide us the /var/log/gdm files

Also it could be that,you are using 3D acceleration, and gnome-panel flashback doesn't use 3D acceleration at all, you can check this issuing the following command
glxinfo |grep "direct rendering"
