Update Manager

Asked by S.Vikash Koushik

Hey Guys,

I upgraded to Karmic using the repo. Now when I check for updates,I get a message saying that

Not All Updates Are Possible
Pls run partial upgrade,to install as many packages as possible.

This can be caused by:

A previous upgrade which didn't complete
Problems with some of the installed packages
Unofficial Packages not provided by Ubuntu
Normal Changes of pre-release version of Ubuntu.

When I first got this message I did a Partial Upgrade hoping that this message will not pop up again but it keeps on coming when ever I go to Update Manager

Dear S.Vikash,

Upgrading to karmic is not advisable at this time. In doing so one should expect serious bugs.

If you're not a developer who intends to face these bugs, please don't use karmic.

Many blessings.

But if You want to use Karmic , you should add the jaunty reps , because softwares here are more stable than under karmic.

Can you help with this problem?
