Processing - The printer is not responding Ubuntu 20.04 driver for Ricoh Aficio SG3110DN printer.

Asked by Don McCormick

Just dual booted Ubuntu 20.04 and all works well except the printer driver for Ricoh Aficio SG3110DN provided in Add New Printer indicates that the printer is not responding. Printer works fine on same machine using Windows 10 OS.
What is the fix?

Andrew,
That link suggests the following and I am not sure to insert "uname -r" as suggested there. Can you advise how and where to insert "uname -r", or do I need to follow up with deepakdeshp? Many thanks.
Don

One possible solution can be use same Kernel that you used in 18.3 in 19 too.

    uname -r

gives the running kernel version"

Andrew,
After entering the terminal mode and entering uname -r what should the results be?
Thanks,
Don

Am getting a terminal response saying, "5.11.0-43-generic". What does that mean?

That's the kernel version. Does it say "x86_64" or "arml" or "arm64"?

I do not see a kernel version, only the 5.11.0-43-generic.
