Copying Folder for backup reasons

OS Ubuntu 20.04LTS up to date.

I have an ssd 480Gb in which my home folder is.

I have 2 x 2Tb HD's

How can I efficiently copy folder from home folder to back up folders on the 2Tb HD.

I already have many of these folders which have been copied to the 2Tb HD and like just up date each folder with the latest information.

There are about 50 to 60 folders in total.

Any advice please.

You have to distinguish between the target that you define (how often, automatic or manual, RTO, RPO, do you want to be able to restore an older version instead of the latest one, ...) and the tool to use to accomplish that.
