Looking for a list of Ubuntu compatible printers

My printer has died on me and I need to replace it. Is there a database of Ubuntu compatible printers out there? I am currently using 12.04 because I find 19 to be quite clunky and awkward to work with.

Another printer is most of the HP printers which uses hplip printer driver.
Brother printers is another choice which work with Linux. Their drivers
you can install through brother.com.
Ubuntu 12.04 and the 19 versions are no longer supported with updates.
Security updates are important.
