Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar

Jacquie Lawson (jacquielawson.com) make a delightful advent calendar which used to be browser based.
For the last 2 years you need to download it and install it on your machine/device.
Last year I used a small virtual window with Virtual Boxthere with Windows as the guest operating system.
There are versions for Macs and Android phones.
It is running on my Android phone.
Can I screencast it to my desktop or transfer files to my desktop to get it to run on my desktop?

You could run an android emulator on your Ubuntu install. It's a bit of a poor solution but should work

Thank you for your help.
Through Linux help I have installed Android SDK manager but not sure what to do next.
Running Google Play in Chrome says the app is installed on my device.
I was hoping for the emulator show up as another device that I could install to.
