Last revisions are all very, very slow on an UEFI HP notebook.
Cuold there exist a flaw in the interaction of the Unbuntu installation software and the UEFI code which results in a NVRAM information damage?

If you check the output of:

dmesg -t > /tmp/boot.txt; gedit /tmp/boot.txt

Look for big gaps in time on the left
