Error found when loading /etc/profile:
 /etc/profile: line 29: JAVA_HOME: command not found
 /etc/profile: line 30: PATH: command not found
 /etc/profile: line 31: exportJAVA_HOME: command not found
   as a result, the session will not be configured correctly

It seems that you have botched up your /etc/profile configuration file.

For diagnostic purposes, what is the output of the following commands (to be executed in a terminal window):

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
cat /etc/profile
