Can you ping your router's internal IP?
Can you ping 8.8.8.8?
Can you ping bbc.co.uk?
Have you rebooted your router?

Can you ping your router's internal IP? = ping: connect: Network is unreachable
Can you ping 8.8.8.8? = ping: connect: Network is unreachable
Can you ping bbc.co.uk? = ping: bbc.co.uk: Temporary failure in name resolution
Have you rebooted your router? = yes, but nothing happens

Did you set a static IP in the subnet of your router or do you use DHCP?
If you are using DHCP do you get an appropriate IP address or do you get an IP from the 169.254.x.x range? If so then you are failing DHCP and I suggest you try a different Ethernet cable.
Have you configured the local firewall on the Ubuntu system? Did you allow appropriate traffic (DNS, HTTP and HTTPS etc).

When you use a laptop, it sucks a lot of air, also through the unused ethernet cable socket.
It may have have become dusty.
Try to blow it clean, without spitting on it.

Are you utilizing a static IP within your router's subnet, or are you relying on DHCP? In the case of DHCP, are you receiving a suitable IP address, or is it falling within the 169.254.x.x range? If the latter is true, it indicates a DHCP failure, and I recommend attempting a different Ethernet cable. Moreover, have you properly configured the local firewall on your Ubuntu system? Have you granted access to the necessary traffic, such as DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS? Additionally, kindly include a statement pertaining to conducting an internet speed test https://dddcodigo.com.br/

If your internet connection is consistently dropping and you're unable to connect through both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, try these steps:

Restart your router and modem.
Check all physical connections.
Test the Ethernet connection with a different device.
Check for service outages with your provider.
Update your router's firmware.
Check for nearby interference and adjust Wi-Fi channels if needed.
Try safe mode to rule out software conflicts.
Contact your internet service provider for further assistance.
If the issue persists, seek professional help or contact your ISP for support.
