Ubuntu Black screen after log in in Mac Virtual box

I installed ubuntu in my Mac in a VM. First time it worked fine but now after I log in its just a black screen with cursor.

What did you use to virtualise? Are you using VirtualBox or VMWare? Details please?

Virtual box. The problem is the screen is black at first and when I minmize and maximize it works, also the display settings resets after each boot🤔
