Xenial is end of life. I suggest you upgrade to either Bionic (Ubuntu 18.04) which you can do online today (LTS to the next LTS upgrades are supported) or alternatively wipe the install off and do a clean install of Focal (Ubuntu 20.04). This is also LTS and supported until April 2025.

Can you help with this problem?
