How to install qtcreator in focal

Asked by parvathybabu

Hi,

It is noticed that qtcreator-latest library is missing for Ubuntu focal.

Now what is correct way install the qtcreator library in Ubuntu focal ? Can I follow with below link
https://launchpad.net/~philippun/+archive/ubuntu/qtcreator

But it is mentioned that You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:philippun/qtcreator to your system's Software Sources.

Is it okey to get update from untrusted PPA ?

Can you please provide support on how to proceed on this.

I am not aware of any "qtcreator-latest library".

You can install qtcreator (version 4.11) for Ubuntu focal from the standard repositories.

You have the choice to install a different version from a PPA, but you have to be aware of the caveats of using PPAs.
The responsibility for the contents are fully within the person providing the PPA. You have to decide if you have sufficient trust.
