Ubuntu would be more secure if it had UFW on by defaullt

Asked by Michael Lazin

If you are setting up Ubuntu on an insecure wifii network it is at risk. It would be more secure if it had UFW on by default with all inbound traffic blocked. Does anyone at Canonical have an interest in this security model for Ubuntu?

You can file a bug report on this. Use Termimal [ctl+alt+t]
ubuntu-bug ufw
This will start apport to collect data for the bug report.
Otherwise it will be considered incomplete. List it as wishlist.
Automatically enable UFW after first boot.
To simplify whether firewall is on or not. You can install GUFW. This is a GUI for UFW.
Should be in a snap package. Or install command line: apt-get install gufw
GUFW has a slider switch to turn it on or off.
Configurable the same as ufw, just easier.
