can't add or delete songs in Amarok 2

Asked by Vanostaajen

I updated from 8.10 to 9.04 and it's ok except for amarok. I can't add or delete songs... Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I installed mysql in ubuntu 8.10....

so any help?

Amarok-2 is still not able to do many things we used with 1.4.
So... with the following link you will find a way to still use 1.4 with Jaunty:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~bogdanb/+archive/ppa

Much fun and greetings

Tanks but I'm unable to find this package called amarok 14...
So It's not really helping my problem except for the fact that I unistalled amarok2 which could be seen as an evolution in the right direction :-).

You first have to add the lines of the PPA to your /etc/apt/sources.list
So let's do :

$ sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

and then add the following ad the end to the file:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/bogdanb/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/bogdanb/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

and after this type:

$ sudo apt-get update

Afer this you will be able to find amarok14 in synaptic.

btw: I think you are right with that evolution thing... but Amarok-2 is still lacking on a lot of edges. To sad, but in my eyes it even not yet usable. Gwenview f.e. is another beloved one that I still rather use in the old manner.
But for sure they will become good ones.
