Cant install!!!

Asked by NYGFan

I installed Ubuntu. It all worked well. AFter restarting it wouldn't ask me for Ubuntu or XP. It just went through XP. After trying to reinstall. It would freeze or say "Step ? of 7" and there would be no way of interacting with Ubuntu. PLEASE TELL WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND HOW TO FIX IT!!!

Did you MD5 check the ISO you downloaded as well as verify the CD was ok once burned? If not, why not? Did you burn the CD as slowly as possible?

Burning fast does not make the dye on the cd as dark, some systems and bioses do not boot well from quickley burned CDs. In short, it can help a lot.

Did you MD5 check the ISO image you have downloaded?

Can you help with this problem?
