ubuntu 20.04 in WSL 2: after restart all snaps are broken

Asked by Yefim Kogan

I have microk8s and few more (core, core20, core18, lxd) snaps. After restart all are broken.
I saved them and tried to restore after restart, but got message:
internal error, please report: running "microk8s" failed: cannot find installed snap "microk8s" at revision 2262: missing file /snap/microk8s/2262/meta/snap.yaml

You might post this question on the Microsoft web site.
This is the only Ubuntu documentation for this I could find.
At the bottom of the documentation is a link under getting help/common issues, update to kernel component.

Hi,
provided link point to general info on Ubuntu installation on WSL 2, it does not have any references to snap.
I found a discussion on the similar issue here: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/all-snaps-showing-as-broken-ubuntu-20-04-zfs/19922
But it apparently was not resolved

Regards,
Yefim Kogan

I am not seeing any snaps in the documentation for WSL.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/
https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues
WSL2- Ubuntu 20.04 Snap store doesn't work due to systemd dependency
https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/5126

Can you help with this problem?
