HP printer/scanner , scanner not working

New Dell Inspiron computer
HP laser jet pro mfp m127fn printer / scanner/ copier

I have been using Ubuntu for over 10 years but not a computer program savy person, but I love Ubuntu.

Laser Jet printer/ scanner worked with older ubuntu program

Installed ubuntu 20.;04 to new computer
Printer works
copy on printer works manually
 Scanner does not work to scan to computer.

Need step by step to fix this problem

Seems that if you grab the latest HPLIP then it may help

Maybe, I have tried that already. I have also tried several fixes that have been listed under Ubuntu HP scanner problems.

HPLIP and HPLIP -data with HPLIP-gui The HPLIP-gui contains HPLIP Toolbox.
I found this within the synaptic package manager on Ubuntu 20.04.
This is how I got my HP all in one to scan.
