Hello there,

How can I shorten the Shutdown counter from 60 sec count down to a different value.
I can't find where this number is stored???
I power off using the power button but it does the same dialog when clicking on the battery to shutdown.

Thx

if you run:

sudo shutdown -h now

does it work much more quickly?

Hi and thanks, so of course this is the command to shutdown.
What I am looking to do is to hit the power button and update the usual 60 seconds count down (without adding in additional software not custom scripts).🙏

Running a command in a terminal isn't a "custom script". Does the command shutdown the system quickly is all I wanted to establish

Yes, it's immediate. There is no problem on this part.

So I'm looking for a variable to configure the pop-up window which appears when pressing the power button or by clicking on 5he battery and selecting shutdown. As these 2 methods call the pop-up.

A halt or a shutdown command doesn't call the pop-up.
And is immediately shutdown in 2 seconds.
