Question releated to system commands

Asked by Michal Dziczkowski

Hello. I have a question releated to the system commands (to become sure):

In with exct package are the system commands, like for example: rm, mv, cp, etc. provided?

I'm not sure if it's not coreutils, but it's better to ensure myself about it.

I ask because I have an idea about improving the functionality of the "mv" command, by adding new functionality to it

see https://packages.ubuntu.com/hirsute/amd64/coreutils/filelist

If it is a modification that would be beneficial for all linux users, not only Ubuntu, then you should suggest that at GNU https://www.gnu.org/software/coreutils/ see also http://www.maizure.org/projects/decoded-gnu-coreutils/mv.html
