The computer is getting slow

Asked by Peter Jones

Hello friends. I'm having a problem with my computer. That is, whenever I try to do something on the Internet, the computer slows down. I am currently using 2GB of RAM on my computer. And I'm using the Firefox browser with it. Can anyone tell me why this problem is happening?

Low system resources. If you are using a default Ubuntu install then it may be a bit too heavy. If you install the xfce4 or lxde package then you can log off and log in to a much lighter desktop session which will leave more resources for the applications you want to run.

With the browser, try and keep the number of addons as low as possible. This will keep the browser as light as possible.

RAM is super cheap. Is there no scope to extend the RAM?

Thanks for replying. I found a solution from an article after searching on Google. But I really like to use Firefox.
