Brother HL-2320D printer is not working properly on 20.04

I connected a new Brother HL-2320D USB printer and took printouts for several days. It worked well for at-least a week.

Then issues started suddenly. May be I disconnected printer from system and then connected again. Or updated and upgraded my system.

I tried several ways.

 Sometimes printing happens from chrome and not from either evince or firefox.
  Sometimes works on firefox after clearing printer related caches on firefox and not on evince or chrome.

I am sure that there is no issue from printer side. As you read from the link just above, all other signals are working well except printing, which is due to some issues in system files only.

I followed the answer provided without any fail. It worked well for an hour.

Later again it stopped working asusual.

I cannot figure out the exact origin.

If you delete the printer from Ubuntu and power off the printer, then reboot, log in and then turn the printer on (I assume it is USB based) does it redetect and work OK?

Yeah, it is USB-based.

It always works for the test page.

I tried that many times. It didn't work. Approximately did it for e 30-50 times.

And all the LED signals and blinking are perfect

It always detects, whenever I reconnect after removing the printer. But, printing is the only issue...

You could try the LPR printer driver from Brother it is a .deb file. Version 3.2.0-1

Be sure to uninstall your current driver first.
Restart after the driver install.
