Daily updates have messed up my laptop

Asked by Richard Schneider

I cannot open a folder with a double click or a single click of my mouse Since the last two or three updates have installed. What's going on with these everyday updates?

1. Which Ubuntu release are you running?

2. Where do you see this behavior, on the desktop, or in the file explorer program?

3. You can configure whether automatic updates are done in the settings dialogue of the update-manager program.

Ubuntu 20.04.2.LTS

This occurs on the desktop and in the file explorer. Actually, it happens with all folders

Yes, I can configure the settings for automatic updates' I cannot open a folder with a double mouse click. I also cannot save anything in a folder as I used to be able to do.

I found the solution to my problem on the internet A setting of minimum on the double click setting for the mouse disables the double click action. Now I am good to go.
Thanks for your attempts at helping me
