Screen flickers (goes to black, then comes back) repeatedly during zoom calls, google meet calls

Laptop model: ASUS TUF Gaming FX504
GPU: NVIDIA 1050 GPU
External Monitor: Acer EB321HQU 31.5-inch Full WQHD IPS Panel (LED)
OS: Ubuntu 20.04 (installed to disk)
Video drivers: nvidia-460

Problem: When I start a video call (zoom or google meet), my external monitor starts to flicker repeatedly (goes to black, then display shows up, then repeat).

I would like to know if others have reported this problem, and if there is a known fix.

Here is the output of the command described at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GraphicsTroubleshootingProcedure. The command was run shortly after an instance of the flickering.
