burn a disc with "boot-repair-disk"

I need a software to learn how to make a boot disk for a live session.

https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/burn-a-dvd-on-ubuntu describes how to burn a DVD using the brasero program.
You have to deviate a bit from the instructions: instead of downloading the Ubuntu installer .iso file you have to download the boot-repair-disk .iso file from https://sourceforge.net/projects/boot-repair-cd/files/ (I recommend the 64 bit version).
