5.11 Kernel on ubuntu 20.10

Asked by Shivanand Iyer

Received the 5.11 kernel upgrade yesterday(5.11.0-7612-generic) on ubuntu 20.10. Thought this was supposed to be coming in 21.04. Anyone know about this?

Then you have added a PPA. If you have questions about packages from a PPA then I suggest you contact the PPA maintainers. The kernel for your release from the official repositories is 5.8. If you start adding additional package sources then you may get different versions of things and we cannot guarantee their contents.

I am not positive if I successfully recognize your query, however it's miles feasible to run an Ubuntu system that has programs from "main" only and no bundle from limited or universe or multiverse. Learn more about it https://www.qmoog.com/

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Shivanand Iyer for more information if necessary.
